IFS Enlightenment Snacks

Podcast launching January 5, 2026

Bite-sized IFS, Effortless Mindfulness, and somatic practices to help you unblend, soften your nervous system, and reconnect with your inner healer—one 15-minute episode at a time.

IFS Enlightenment Snacks is a weekly podcast for spirit-rooted, growth-oriented humans who want Internal Family Systems (IFS) and body-based practice to be something they actually live, not just theory they understand. Each "snack" offers a short teaching, a guided practice, or a story you can take straight into real life.

From "I know the theory" to

"I can feel it in my body"

Many spirit-rooted, trauma-aware folks reach a point where they understand their patterns, but when stress hits, the same loops replay:

  • the inner critic ramps up

  • caretaking and over-responsibility take over

  • nervous systems go into “on” or “off” and stay stuck there

This podcast is here to help you:

  • unblend from intense parts in real time, not just analyze them later

  • soften your nervous system with brief, body-based practices you can use in daily life

  • remember what Self energy feels like—and rehearse returning to it, again and again

  • build a lived, daily relationship with your parts, not just an intellectual map

  • sync IFS with Effortless Mindfulness, so you’re befriending your parts while resting as the deeper field of awake awareness (Self energy) that can hold them all

Not by adding more to your to-do list, but by giving you small, digestible practices you can actually use.

What to expect in each “snack”

Each 15-ish minute episode weaves together:

  • Plain-language IFS teachings – short, grounded explanations of parts, Self, protectors, exiles, and burdens—without jargon or perfectionism.

  • Awareness-based practices inspired by Effortless Mindfulness – simple inquiries and tiny shifts of attention that help you notice the awake awareness that’s already here (what IFS calls Self energy), so Effortless Mindfulness deepens your real-world, embodied sense of Self—without striving for a special state.

  • Guided somatic and parts-based practices – practices you can do in real time: gentle breathing, sensing, orienting, and dialogues with parts that don’t require silence or a meditation cushion.

  • Stories from the wild edges of healing – reflections from my years at Esalen, in the IFS world, and in my own inner journeys—so your system feels less alone and more understood.

You can listen walking, lying down, washing dishes, or curled up on the couch. No perfect posture required.
